REQUIREMENTS TO SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES

THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL JOURNAL "COMMODITIES AND MARKETS" is enlisted into the scientific professional publications of Ukraine in technical sciences, it is published 4 times a year.
 
Journals accept scientific articles, which have never been published earlier and are not intended to the simultaneous publication in other editions. The volume of the article is 8–16 pages. The number of co-authors is no more than three. The articles are published in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
 
Post graduates and aspirants must coordinate their manuscripts with their supervisors.
 
The article should be structured in accordance with the following standard scheme:
- the code of Universal decimal classifications (UDC);
- name and surname of author – in Ukrainian, Russian and English;
- the title of the article – in Ukrainian, Russian and English;
- the reference of the article – in Ukrainian and Russian in 5–7;
- the text is structured into the sections:
Background:
 - identifying a problem in general, its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;
 - analysis of the recent researches and publications;
 - highlighting unsolved before parts of the general problem, which the article is dedicated to;
 - defining the aim of the article (the tasks)
Material and methods.
Results – presentation of the main material with the full substantiation of the scientific results received.
Conclusion – conclusion of the research and the prospects of the further studies in this direction.
 
- the reference list is written according to the DSTU (National Standards of Ukraine) GOST  (Government Standard) 7.1:2006  and is given after the text. The references in the text are given in order of appearance in brackets with the number of a reference source in the list, using comma before page number: [1, p. 243]. If an author refers to the whole book only the number of it is stated – [2]. Reference to some sources is written in such a way: [3, p. 28; 4, p. 63–65] or [1–5]. 
- extended author’s resume of the article in Ukrainian and English in the structure of the article up to 250 words (25 lines)
- author's information: surname, name, patronymic (in full); full place of work and position; academic status, scientific degree; numbers of contact phones, e-mail.
 
Articles should be typed in one file in Microsoft Word (type Times New Roman), the size – 13, an interval – 1.5 ,formulas in formular editor MS Equation, pages must be numbered), in one copy, on a sheet of paper of format А4, all margins – 20 mm.
 
Citations, the statistical data etc. should be presented with reference to the source. Figures, schedules and tables should have numbering and the title. They need to be carried out in book orientation, in black and white. Illustrating material should be placed under the text, where there’s the first reference to it, or on the next page. Schedules are given additionally in a separate file in Microsoft EXCEL.
Formulas need to be separated with one line from the rest of the text, centered, numbered in parentheses, leveled to the right margin of the text. Physical values should be presented in terms of Systéme International (SI).
 
Numbers with decimal fractions should be presented in such way – 2.5; 548.4 etc.
 
Scanned material is not excepted.
 
The date of the article submission is considered to be the day of receipt to the edition, in case of revision - the day of the receipt of the revised text.
 
The Editorial Board makes decisions concerning the publication of articles. The authoritative scientists and experts are involved in editing articles. The title and the text of articles can be corrected by Editorial Board without the coordination with the author.
 
Articles that are rejected by the Editorial Board are not returned to authors.
Articles prepared without taking into account the above-presented requirements are not considered.

Editorial policy and ethics

Basic provisions 
 
In its activity the editorial board of the 
International scientific-practical journal "Commodities and Markets" is governed by the laws of Ukraine (Laws of Ukraine "On Information", "On Education", Ethical code of the scientist of Ukraine, and adheres to the recommendations of Elsevier, the publishing principles of the Publishing Ethics Resource Kit (PERK), the principles of academic virtue (pryncypiv akademichnoi' dobrochesnosti), and the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for scientific publications.


By accepting scientific articles for publication, the editorial board of the scientific journal evaluates the intellectual content of the manuscripts, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious preferences, origin, nationality, social status, or political preferences of the author / authors.
 
The editorial policy of the journal is based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication; high demand for the quality of scientific research; mandatory review of manuscripts; adherence to collegiality in decision-making on publication; accessibility and efficiency in communication with authors; strict observance of copyright and related rights.
 
General requirements
 
The journal accepts manuscripts of scientific works in Ukrainian and English, which have never been published before and are not intended for simultaneous publication in other editions.
The volume of the manuscript is 8–16 pages.
The number of authors is not more than three.
Postgraduate students and applicants must agree on the manuscript with the supervisor. Students’ works are co-authored with…
 
All manuscripts submitted to the editorship are necessarily reviewed by determined procedure.
Each article accepted by the editorial staff is sure to check for plagiarism using Unicheck software or other certified platforms.
With the approval of the manuscript, it undergoes internal editing procedures: scientific editing, literary editing, artistic and technical editing and layout according to editorial standards. Rejected manuscripts are not reviewed again.
Each article receives an International Digital Identifier DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
 
Copyright and academic virtue
 
By submitting materials for publication in the 
International scientific-practical journal "Commodities and Markets", the authors agree that, upon receipt of an approving review and acceptance of the manuscript for publication, the article, after appropriate editorial revision, may be placed in electronic databases with mandatory authorship attribution and copyright retention in full by authors. In this case, the author / authors give the right of first publication to the journal, which makes it possible to distribute this material with the indication of authorship and initial publication in the International scientific-practical journal "Commodities and Markets". 

The author/authors are responsible for the novelty and credibility of the results of scientific research, as well as for adherence to the principles of academic virtue, which provides for:

  • the author / authors of the article are required to provide credible research findings. False statements are inadmissible;
  • the author/authors should ensure that the results of the study presented in the manuscript are completely original. Borrowed snippets or assertions must be clearly identified by the author and source. Excessive borrowings, as well as plagiarism in any form, including non-identified citations, paraphrases, or assignment of rights to the results of other people’s research, are unacceptable;
  • the author / authors acknowledge the contribution of all persons who in one way or another influenced the course of the study. In the article the links should be provided to all the papers used in the research process;
  • the author / authors are not allowed to submit a manuscript or any part of it to the journal that has been submitted to other editions (scientific or non-scientific) and is under review, and may not submit materials already published in other sources (without excluding their own developments);
  • all researchers who have made significant contributions to the structure of the manuscript should be listed as co-authors;
  • if the author reveals material errors or inaccuracies in the article at the stage of its review or after its publication, he should notify the editorial board about it as soon as possible.

Open access policy
 
The editorial board of the scientific journal practices a policy of open access to the published content, adhering to the principles of free dissemination of scientific information and global knowledge sharing for the sake of general public progress. Content is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution License.
 
Access to data and its retention
 
Authors may be asked to provide output data for editorial review. They should be ready to make such data freely available, if it’s possible, and in any case should be able to retain these data for some time after its publication. 

The procedure of reviewing

The procedure of reviewing articles submitted to the Editors Office
of International scientific-practical journal Commodities and Markets

 
1. Manuscript is sent via email to the editorial’s address:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , recorded in a log book of manuscripts for the serial number and date of receipt.
2. Cover form (manuscript movement card) is made for each manuscript which shall include:
  • the author (s) data;
  • the title of the manuscript;
  • name and surname, position and academic degree of the reviewer (s);
  • memo for the reviewer, which identifies the essential elements of the review;
  • conclusion of the reviewer.
3. Structured article is submitted to the deputy editor, who appoints reviewers.
4. Reviewers receive a manuscript movement card with the article in paper.
5. The term of the reviewing is 2 weeks.
6. Reviewers return the manuscript with a comprehensive review of the article, which defines the relevance of the topic, positive side of the study and drawbacks are stated.
The review ends with a clear conclusion: "Accepted to print", "Revision" or "Not recommended for publication" (with the reasons for rejection).
7. If one reviewer gave a positive review of the article, and the other negative, the article is sent to a third reviewer for a final verdict.
8. If the article need improvement, the manuscript is returned to the author with an indication of drawbacks. Having revised the article the author sends it to the editor, and reviewer verifies how his remarks were corrected and provides a new conclusion.
9. Following the recommendations of the reviewer of the article "Accepted to print" manuscript is submitted to the meeting of the Editorial Board to agree the final title and approval of content of the current issue of the magazine, where the publication of this article is recommended.
